Mark SaFranko is a survivor. He has survived psychotic women, threats to his life,
and borderline insanity. And jobs... lots of jobs. Freight loader, landscaper's assistant, truck driver, chauffeur, deliveryman, clothing salesman, short-order cook, newsboy,
factory hand, astrologer, dinner theater actor, bar musician, film production assistant, teacher, editor, proofreader, bank clerk, political risk analyst, office temp, ghost writer, crime
and sports reporter, stock clerk, government pensions clerk, fast food worker, and telephone sales solicitor. Despite thirty-plus years of daily grind SaFranko has continued to act, create plays, and write short stories... lots of stories. Over 50 have already been published worldwide, while the total output is over 100... and counting. Murder Slim Press will be collecting some of these in the Loners compilation in 2008, to follow the critically acclaimed Zajack novels: Lounge Lizard and Hating Olivia. |
Hating Olivia received strong reviews in publications and websites as diverse as Bizarre,
Dogmatika, Beat Scene and 3am Magazine. Dan Fante says: "I recommend it one hundred percent."
Lounge Lizard drew equal plaudits, with Bizarre Magazine claiming: "Echoes of Dan Fante's Bruno Dante
permeate SaFranko's brilliant follow-up to Hating Olivia, which is as honest and readable as its predecessor."
Copies of Hating Olivia and Lounge Lizard have been sold to seventeen different countries worldwide... and counting. It's still available through Ebay, Amazon, and via their respective shop pages. Murder Slim is happy to present The Mark SaFranko Homepage, where you'll find details of SaFranko's career and upcoming projects... much of it unavailable elsewhere. Enjoy.... News: Hating Olivia and Lounge Lizard are both in stock and ready to buy. SaFranko also features in Savage Kick #1 (with "Role of a Lifetime") and Savage Kick #3 (with "Haunting Refrain" and an exclusive interview). Both issues are still available through the Savage Kick Online Shop. Loners is now available to preorder. It will be released imminently. For further details see the MSP Updates. | ![]() |
